01 / ABOUT US

Who is responsible for your data?

ScaleX Collective is a founder-led community connecting entrepreneurs, operators and investors. For the purposes of this notice, the controller is Sanaga Ventures B.V., with registered address Hekelveld 10, 1012 SN Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

For questions about this policy or how your information is handled, email ben@scalexcollective.com.

02 / INFORMATION

What information do we collect?

Depending on how you interact with ScaleX Collective, this may include:

  • Contact information: your name, email address and the contents of your message when you use our contact form or email us.
  • Membership applications: information you choose to provide when following our application link to the external Tally form.
  • Community correspondence: messages and information you provide when discussing membership, potential collaborations or opportunities.
  • Technical information: basic website activity, device and connection data that may be processed by our hosting provider to operate and secure the site.

Please do not include sensitive personal information in a message or application unless we specifically request it through an appropriate process.

03 / PURPOSE & LEGAL BASIS

How and why we use it

We use personal information to respond to enquiries, review membership and collaboration requests, maintain relevant communications, and operate and secure the website. Any information retained for ongoing learning is used to improve ScaleX Collective and the support it offers founders and members. Where practical, we use aggregated or anonymised insights instead of retaining identifiable records.

Depending on the activity, we may rely on our legitimate interests in communicating with founders and partners, taking steps at your request before entering an agreement, performing an agreement, or complying with a legal obligation. Where consent is required, such as for optional marketing communications or certain cookies, we will request it separately and you may withdraw it.

We do not use information submitted through the contact form to add someone to a marketing list automatically.

04 / PROVIDERS

Who helps us run these services?

We use Webflow to host and operate this website, including the contact form, and link to Tally for membership applications. These service providers process data to deliver their services; their own privacy notices explain their practices. We share information with service providers only where necessary to operate ScaleX and handle the relevant request. Some service providers may process information outside the European Economic Area; where this occurs, appropriate legal protections are required under applicable data-protection law. Contact us for information about relevant safeguards.

We do not sell personal information.

05 / RETENTION

How long do we keep information?

We keep identifiable information only while it is reasonably needed to respond to your enquiry, consider or administer your application, or maintain an active ScaleX relationship, and for any additional period required by law. We periodically review whether identifiable records remain necessary and delete or anonymise them when they are no longer needed. Information kept for longer-term improvement of ScaleX is used in aggregated or anonymised form wherever practicable; we do not keep identifiable contact or application information indefinitely just in case it might be useful.

06 / YOUR RIGHTS

You're in control of your information.

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, object to certain processing, and withdraw consent when consent applies. Write to ben@scalexcollective.com. You can also complain to the relevant supervisory authority, including the Dutch Data Protection Authority where applicable.

07 / SECURITY & UPDATES

Security, cookies and changes

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. Our Webflow configuration does not currently include a Google Analytics tag, but the website and its service providers may use cookies or similar technologies necessary for operation, functionality and security. If we introduce optional analytics, advertising or other non-essential tracking that requires consent, we will provide the relevant information and choices beforehand. This notice may be updated as our services or legal obligations change; the revision date will be shown above.
